அவ்வையார் – ஆத்திச் சூடி – உயிர் வருக்கம்

கடவுள் வாழ்த்து

ஆத்தி சூடி அமர்ந்த தேவனை
ஏத்தி ஏத்தித் தொழுவோம் யாமே.

பொருள்:
திருவாத்தி மலர் மாலையை அணிந்த தேவனை நாம் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் தொழுவோம்.

Meaning:
Let’s worship the Lord who wears the garland of primrose flowers, again and again.

உயிர் வருக்கம்

 1  அறம் செய விரும்பு.

(நல்ல செயல்களைச் செய்ய விரும்பு.)

(Desire to do good deeds.)

 2  ஆறுவது சினம்.

(கோபத்தை ஆற்றிக் கொள்.)

(Calm down your anger.)

 3  இயல்வது கரவேல்.

(முடிந்த அளவு உதவி செய்.)

(Help others as much as you can.)

 4  ஈவது விலக்கேல்.

(தருமம் செய்வதைத் தவிர்க்காதே. மற்றவர்கள் தானம் செய்வதைத் தடுக்காதே.)

(Don’t give up charity. Don’t others from giving.)

 5  உடையது விளம்பேல்.

(உள்ளதை பலரிடமும் பெருமையடித்துக் கொள்ளாதே.)

(Don’t brag or boast to others about what you have.)

 6  ஊக்கமது கைவிடேல்.

(ஊக்கத்தைக் கைவிடாதே.)

(Don’t give up enthusiasm and eagerness.)

 7  எண் எழுத்து இகழேல்.

(கல்வியை இகழாதே.)

(Don’t mock or ridicule education or learning.)

 8  ஏற்பது இகழ்ச்சி.

(மற்றவரிடமிருந்து யாசிப்பது இகழ்ச்சி.)

(It is shameful to beg from others.)

 9  ஐயம் இட்டு உண்.

(மற்றவர்களுக்கு உணவு அளித்த பின், நீயும் உணவு ஏற்றுக் கொள்.)

(Eat after feeding others.)

10  ஒப்புரவு ஒழுகு.

(உலகப் போக்குடன் ஒத்து வாழ்.)

(Live in flow with the world).

11  ஓதுவது ஒழியேல்.

(நல்ல நூல்களைப் படிப்பதை விட்டு விடாதே.)

(Don’t give up education or learning.)

12  ஔவியம் பேசேல்.

(பொறாமைப் பட்டு கெட்ட மொழிகளைப் பேசாதே.)

(Don’t say words arising out of jealousy.)

13 அஃகஞ் சுருக்கேல்.

(உணவு தானியங்களை கஞ்சத்தனமாக விற்காதே.)

(Don’t be stingy when you sell food products.)
